The pollen parent is \"Jarrett\", named for my brother, who passed away in 2019. Its own lineage is \"Justin\" x [\"Ace of Purps\" x (carlablackiae x papillilaminum \"RL\")], which means the plant carrying my brother\'s name is descended from a plant carrying mine. Typing that out now, it\'s a little strange. He\'d probably find it funny.\"Jarrett\" itself is a nifty plant, deep red sanguine emergents, the kind of thing that if I liked it a little less I\'d have saddled with some vampire-adjacent name. It\'s grown vigorously - a single seed batch as of July 2026, maybe 10 months from seed to pod. This cross puts that vigor and color behind the venation and blue-green emergents from the seed parent side. Early days yet, but I like what\'s implied.
