Original letter send By Jordan L. Mott , of New York , N. Y. to the Honorable Andrew Kennedy an American politician ( July 24, 1810- December 31, 1847) was an American lawyer and politician who served three years as a US representative from Indiana from 1841 to 1847
Mr Mott patented the mode of increasing adhesion of driving- wheels of locomotives on August 28, 1841 No. 2.228 DUMMY ENGINE
This letter was send to Mr Kennedy on September 9th, 1841 and post stamped on the envelope September 10th , 1841
This letter has been displayed in a photograph frame as has the envelope page. The letter has age appropriate marks / stains , the envelope still has some wax residue from its wax wafer. Measures 13” x 8 “
