This book is roughly 140+ years old and shows heavy antique handling and shelf wear. The outer hardback cover boards exhibit severe corner rounding, edge chipping, surface rubbing, and scuffs as pictured. CRITICAL BINDING NOTE: While the main outer cloth binding/spine remains visually intact, the original internal stitching has given way over time. As a result, several interior pages have completely disconnected/detached from the binding. All pages appear to be physically present, but they are loose. The pages themselves feature beautiful, vibrant chromolithograph prints with expected light foxing and finger smudging typical of children's books of this age. Sold strictly "AS-IS" as a candidate for book restoration or a beautiful collection of individual framing prints. Please closely review all photos.
