Antique 1890s-1910s Wood Metal Toy Washboard Tub Laundry Set Primitive For Sale

Charming antique miniature laundry set dating to approximately the 1890s–1910s, consisting of a small wood-and-metal washboard paired with a round stave-built wooden wash tub.

The washboard features a dark green painted wooden frame with a corrugated metal scrubbing surface, while the tub is constructed from individual wood staves secured by dark iron bands. Together they make an excellent display piece for collectors of early household miniatures, antique toys, primitive Americana, country store pieces, or farmhouse décor.

The green-painted washboard shows extensive finish loss, edge wear, scuffs, staining, oxidation, and surface wear. The corrugated metal panel has darkening, oxidation, and age-related discoloration.
The wooden tub shows drying and separation between several staves, edge losses, cracking, surface wear, staining, and generalized age-related shrinkage. Iron bands remain present and show oxidation and patina. The bottom remains in place, though the tub should be considered decorative/collectible rather than watertight or functional.
An old handwritten paper label remains attached to the underside of the tub. Overall wear and patina contribute strongly to the primitive antique appearance.
