Antique 18th-19th Century Savavid Qajar Persian Islamic Tinned Copper Bowl Large:
$375.00
This is an antique 18th-19th century Savavid Qajar Persian Islamic tinned copper bowl. This 13.5-inch(widest diameter) antique basin is made of hammered and chiseled, tinned copper. Its wide-bottomed body features a dense, hand-engraved hunting scene set against a textured, dark cross-hatched background. The artwork depicts hunters dressed in traditional Qajar-era court robes and felt caps, surrounded by large birds and horned deer. Over time, the silver tin coating has naturally worn away in areas, creating a beautiful contrast with the warm copper underneath.. Its age falls within the range of 1789-1925, making it a valuable and unique item with a rich history from the Middle East. Measures 13.5” widest diameter x 7” tall.
