Antique 1910-1920 Early Steiff Golden Mohair Teddy Bear – 12.5\" Tall For Sale

This is a very hard-to-find early Steiff teddy bear that measures 12.5\" tall. Overall, it\'s in very nice condition. However, the front has a torn seam; it looks like someone opened it to repair a growler or squeaker. All the material is still in there; it just needs to be sewn back up. This is a straightforward task for someone experienced in sewing teddy bears.The arms are long and curved, and the bear is fully jointed. From what I can tell, the pink pads seem to be original. It features shoe-button eyes and four sewn claw lines. It does have the original Steiff button tag in its ear, which is the style where the last letter \"f\" extends down and goes under the logo to meet the letter \"i.\" The mohair is in excellent condition.This teddy bear is quite hard to find, and based on the button, it could date anywhere from 1910 to around 1920.* * * * * * * * *
