Antique British Gold Filled Albertina Double Watch Chain Engraved SliderDESCRIPTION:Antique Victorian Albertina watch chain in gold fill, dating to approximately the late 19th to early 20th century.
This refined smaller-scale example is composed of two fine curb-link chains joined by decorative fittings and a movable square slider. The slider is engraved on both sides with two different designs, giving the chain an especially decorative finish.
The chain is completed with a traditional T-bar, swivel dog clip clasp, trefoil-style connector, and short fob drop. The dog clip is stamped with an anchor manufacturer’s mark, indicating British manufacture.
The lighter proportions, double-chain construction, and decorative slider are characteristic of an Albertina, the more delicate counterpart to the traditional Albert watch chain.
Measures approximately 10\" in length, plus approximately 1\" fob chain/drop.

CONDITION:Excellent antique condition overall with light surface wear consistent with age. The gold-filled finish remains very attractive, and the dog clip and T-bar hardware function properly.
Both fine chain strands show some twisting and undulation along the length and do not lie perfectly flat in every position. This appears as a natural set or memory within the chains rather than a break or structural failure. Because of the twisting, the movable slider meets a little resistance in certain areas and may require slight manipulation when moving back and forth.
