Beautiful antique child portrait displayed in a large, highly ornate gold/gilt frame with elaborate raised floral and scrollwork detailing.
The portrait appears to be an early photographic enlargement/crayon-style portrait with hand coloring or artistic enhancement, a style commonly associated with the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The child is pictured in period clothing, giving the piece wonderful antique character.
The older paper backing remains in place and bears a faded Art Frame Shop stamp from Norfolk, Virginia, along with the handwritten number 63-5722.
