This is an authentic early 20th-century binnacle-style ship compass mounted in a wooden housing with a solid brass bezel.The bezel is stamped with serial number 34748 along with “Ritchie” and “Boston,” indicating production likely in the 1920s–1930s. These compasses were used on boats and ships for navigation and are now highly collectible nautical pieces.The compass retains its original character and shows age-appropriate wear, including patina on the brass, wear to the compass card, and surface wear to the central sphere.
