Antique German All Bisque Doll 2.75” Molded Blonde Hair Regional Costume Hertwig?
Charming miniature German all-bisque girl doll, approximately 2.75 inches tall, likely made by Hertwig, circa 1910–1930. The maker attribution is tentative.
She has molded blonde bobbed hair with curls at the sides, painted blue eyes, delicate brown eyebrows, rosy cheeks, and a tiny red mouth. Her molded black strap shoes and white stockings with blue trim are particularly sweet details.
She wears an elaborate regional-style costume featuring a cream blouse, black bodice with pale crisscross lacing, a muted lavender skirt, and a pink-and-cream patterned apron with ribbon trim. Small lace-trimmed drawers complete the outfit. The clothing has an aged appearance and may be original, although this cannot be guaranteed.
A lovely little doll for an antique dollhouse or miniature doll collection.
Condition:
Good overall presentation, with scattered small surface marks, slight paint wear, and minor manufacturing irregularities visible in the bisque. Clothing shows age-related fading, discoloration, and some fraying. No obvious cracks or repairs are visible in the photographed exposed areas; the body and joints beneath the clothing have not been fully inspected.
