AThis is Gorham silver-plated hollowware and is NOT being represented as sterling silver.The service includes the large hot-water urn with stand and burner, large covered coffee pot, covered teapot, covered two-handled sugar bowl, creamer, and open waste/slop bowl.The centerpiece is the impressive elevated urn, featuring sculptural animal-mask mounts with large hanging ring handles, ornate supports, engraved decoration, decorative spigot and original burner.CONDITION:This is an antique service approximately 150 years old and is being sold in as-found, unrestored condition.There is age-related tarnish, patina, surface scratching, wear and areas of silver-plate loss throughout.The handle on the larger pot has previously separated and is currently held in place with adhesive/glue. It will need to be professionally re-soldered for a permanent repair.The urn spigot also needs to be professionally re-soldered/resecured.The two burner tubes are present but are slightly bent.All components shown in the photographs are included, and the parts associated with the spigot and burner appear to be present.The set has NOT been aggressively polished or restored. The aged patina has intentionally been left largely as found.Please carefully examine all photographs as they are an important part of the condition description.
