Offered is an antique Gorham sterling silver swing-handlebonbon basket, model A110, circa 1900–1915. Fully marked on the base withGorham’s lion-anchor-G trademark, STERLING, the model number A110, and a smallpictorial date symbol. Gorham of Providence was America’s largest and mosttechnically brilliant silver house, and its Edwardian repoussé baskets - rimmodeled with full-relief roses and rococo scrolls, bowl reticulated in latticeand scroll piercing - were the era’s definitive engagement and tea-table gift.
The hinged handle swings freely; two rim cartouches carrythe original owner’s script monogram, period engraving from its first life morethan a century ago.

Condition: Very good antique condition. Piercingfully intact —-no splits, tears, or repairs. Handle swings smoothly on bothhinges. Crisp repoussé detail. Tarnish in the recesses. Old script monogram in both cartouchesas noted.
