Comment from a collector: “This piece is particularly nice for its age due to its whiteness and truly minimal crazing. I only have a few DPF pieces that are 100+ y/o with such minimal crazing. The alpha-date, V, indicates production in 1900. Uniquely, this was painted by two artists, the primary painted the scene and the secondary painted the surroundings. The primary, scripted CS, lower left, was C. Schilperoort, employed from 1894-1950. The secondary was W.A.K.H.F. van Baarsel, employed from 1893-1945.”
