Sweet Miniature Lemon Gilt period frame in bright and shiny original gilt - untouched surface, circa 1790-1830.
The gilding shows wonderful patina!
Molding is a double concave molding and is 3/4 of an inch in width. The frame retains the original metal wire hanging ring!
Please note some wear to the gilt and oxidation and patina - this frame was an “old world look and feel” - from the years of loved usage!
Original and very early glass with striations and waves and tiny bubbles! Quiet nice!
Frame measures 5 3/8 inches x 4 1/4 inches, the window ( visible opening ) is 4 1/2 inches x 3 inches, the rabbet is 4 1/4 inches x 3 1/2 inches.
Items of this age and fragile nature are most carefully wrapped and packed, and double boxed, and fully insured. Thus, the listed postage. Please note the USPS has increased shipping cost on packages once again, which is beyond my control.
