Theunmarked base, hand-shaped form, freely painted decoration and wear to the footdate the vase to the 19th century. Black iron-rich inclusions, small firingpinholes and a short green brush mark beneath the glaze are original workshopcharacteristics. These are part of its handmade Kütahya production. Its compact bottle form, bright colours and floral decoration make it anappealing addition to a collection of Ottoman, Turkish or Islamic ceramics.
