12-piece antique Porsgrund Norway Bogstad Stråmønster (Straw Pattern) porcelain lot, featuring the classic hand-painted cobalt-blue floral design on white porcelain.
Porsgrund introduced its Bogstad Straw Pattern in 1887, the year porcelain production began at the Norwegian factory. The traditional decoration is hand-painted in underglaze blue and remains one of Porsgrund’s best-known historic patterns.
This collection is particularly interesting because it contains pieces bearing two different early Porsgrund factory marks, representing two periods of production:
4 Demitasse Cups — 1887–1911
The four cups bear Porsgrund’s early blue PP anchor factory mark, documented as being used from 1887 to 1911.
8 Plates/Saucers — 1911–1935
The six small plates and two demitasse saucers bear the green PP anchor factory mark, which succeeded the blue mark and was used from 1911 to 1935
The complete 12-piece lot includes 4 demitasse cups, 2 demitasse saucers and 6 small plates.

Good antique pre-owned condition free of chips, cracks or crazing with the exception of a flea bite on one of the demitasse cups. (see last 2 pictures)
The hand-painted cobalt-blue decoration remains attractive, with expected variations in the decoration from piece to piece.
