Antique Precision No. 98 cast iron letterpress leading cutter, distributed by Pr For Sale

Antique Precision No. 98 cast iron letterpress leading cutter, distributed by Printer Supply Corporation of Minneapolis. This specialized composing room tool was used to cut strips of leading (lead spacing material) to the proper length for hand-set movable type. It came from the same long-held commercial printing and bindery operation as the other printing equipment we\'ve recently acquired. The cutter retains its original cast \"Precision 98\" handle marking and partial Printer Supply Corporation label. The lever operates smoothly by hand, and the machine displays honest age, surface oxidation, and wear consistent with decades of shop use. An increasingly difficult-to-find piece of authentic letterpress history, ideal for collectors, museums, or working letterpress shops.
