Up for listing is an authentic, hand-knotted early 20th-century Sarouk accent rug (Zaronim format) woven in the Arak region.
This piece features an all-over diamond lattice field with intricate floral palmettes and rosettes framed by a multi-banded border. It exhibits rich, organic color variations (abrash) created by traditional botanical and mineral dyes (madder rust/terracotta, deep indigo, dusty blues, and warm tan highlights).

Pile & Structure: Normal age-appropriate low, even pile with a soft matte patina. Clean, flat weave with a firm handle. No major stains, holes, or active repairs noted.

Storage Note: This rug was kept in storage and carries a light, natural musky wool scent typical of vintage textiles. It is airing out nicely and will continue to dissipate with routine use or light outdoor airing.
