Up for sale is a breathtaking masterpiece of 19th-century French decorative porcelain: an antique hand-painted portrait cabinet plate signed by the noted French painter Em. Gallois.The center of the plate features an incredibly fine, miniature-style hand-painted portrait of an elegant French court lady adorned with a powdered wig, pearl earring, and a yellow dress with a black lace wrap. The portrait is executed with magnificent detail, showcasing Gallois\' signature mastery over skin tones and soft shadow work.The central portrait is framed by a luxurious rose-pink rim border heavily embellished with raised gold gilt swags, ribbons, and rococo framing. Three inset panels show exceptionally detailed hand-painted floral bouquets spilling from classical blue urns. The reverse base ring is cleanly glazed, showcasing a hand-painted blue porcelain artist marker badge.Condition Notes (PLEASE READ):
