• The "Edward Moran" Inscription:The lower left edge bears a prominent cursive signature inscription reading"Edward Moran". While this piece is cataloged and priced strictly as an incredible period study/tribute in the distinct manner of the famous American marine painterEdward Moran (1829–1901), the execution perfectly mirrors the atmospheric lighting and subject choices of the Hudson River school masters.
• Stunning Masterpiece Frame:The presentation frame is an artwork in its own right—constructed from heavy, dark-toned antique quarter-sawn oak [image_e2caru.png] featuring highly detailed, elegant classical scroll moldings applied to the corners [image_JO9BOg.png].
• Period Glass:Protected under its original antique wavy glass, which beautifully distorts light across the watercolor surface when viewed at an angle.

🔎 Condition Report

• Watercolor Artwork:The colors remain remarkably crisp and well-blended with no tears, punctures, or color fading to the main ocean scene paper.
• Matting & Glass:The surrounding off-white matting displays minor areas of authentic handling dust and age-related toning/staining. The original wavy glass is clean and intact.
• Oak Frame:Firm and structurally sound. The outer perimeter shows a few small scuffs, nicks, and minor veneer flakes consistent with its historic age, all adding beautifully to its genuine rustic character.

🏺 Rarity

• Panoramic Proportions:Horizontal panoramic artwork measuring44 inches wideis highly prized by interior decorators and coastal homeowners alike. Its scale makes it an ideal statement piece over a fireplace mantle, entryway console table, or dining room sideboard.
