Impressive antique Wheatley Pottery art pottery vase from Cincinnati, Ohio, featuring a tall approximately 15-inch form with a deep glossy forest-green glaze and elaborate hand-applied dimensional floral decoration. Cream-colored blossoms and buds with naturalistically modeled green leaves and stems climb dramatically across the front of the vase, creating tremendous depth and giving the piece a distinctly organic Arts & Crafts / Art Nouveau character. The substantial baluster-shaped body rises into a long cylindrical neck with a gently flared rim, while the underside bears the impressed WHEATLEY factory trademark confirming the maker.
