Antique Circa 1900 Teplitz-Style Austrian Art Pottery Vase – Blue Wisteria Floral & Raised Gold Gilt
A beautiful and substantial antique European art pottery vase featuring an elegant flattened spherical body, tall architectural neck, and elaborate hand-painted botanical decoration.
The creamy ivory ground is adorned with cascading cobalt-blue and lavender wisteria-like blossoms, complemented by delicately painted foliage and richly detailed raised gold gilt outlines. The tall neck features vertical fluting, decorative gold bands, and a broad circular opening.
The design is characteristic of the late Victorian and Edwardian decorative arts and closely resembles floral pottery produced in the Turn-Teplitz region of historic Bohemia, then part of Austria-Hungary.
