Here is an original scarce,Appalachian10\", jointed wood, hand carved, Hitty companion, doll,HOLLY, by well known, NIADA artist doll maker,Helen Bullard.Made as a companion for the popular and copyright protected doll, \"Hitty\", this all-original doll features dark brown hair, a light complexion, and is signed with three labels as shown in photos:\"Holly Dolls hand made in Ozone Tenn\".She comes with all her original clothing made by hired ladies in the Tennessee area and is handmade in the United States during the early 1950s. Featured in several photos and illustrated pages in the softcover book, \"My People in Wood\" by Helen Bullard,(available separately and NOT included with this listing) the doll is perfect for collectors or as a unique gift for all occasions, representing a piece of vintage craftsmanship from a bygone era. She is in excellent condition with no damages or repairs, no stains, fading, tears, holes or odors and from a smoke free home. All other dolls and items shown are NOT included and each listed separately.
