Active multipoint lock gearbox with concealed shootbolt rods at the top and bottom of the door panel. Used by several door manufacturers including Caradco, Jeld-Wen, and others. This is the gearbox only; rods and faceplate are not included.

Operation:

• Lift handle to extend rods
• Turn key or thumbturn to extend deadbolt

Change Handing:

• Insert screwdriver into slot behind latch
• Pull down on handing release; latch pops out
• Rotate latch and push back into lock case
• Always check function of lock before closing door

Notes:

• Faceplates are available with either square or radius corners
• Faceplate is riveted to the lock case
• Rod guide brackets at the top and bottom of the door must be removed to remove the rods. Rods have a hex shape that accepts an extended socket
• In some cases the lock body can be removed with the bottom rod still attached, and reinstalled the same way
