Offered here is an Athearn Ready To Roll HO Scale Pennsylvania Railroad SD40 #6091, manufacturer item 88513, in outstanding factory-sealed condition.
This locomotive has never been removed from the box.
The original Athearn Seal of Quality stickers remain intact on both ends of the package. The photographs clearly show the original seals still in place, so the locomotive has not been opened, handled, displayed, or track tested.
This is about as close as you can get to buying one exactly as it left the hobby shop.
The model represents Pennsylvania Railroad #6091, one of the PRR’s EMD SD40 locomotives. Pennsylvania Railroad roster information places the prototype SD40 fleet in the 6040–6104 number series, making #6091 an authentic PRR road number.
The locomotive is finished in Pennsylvania Railroad’s extremely dark green appearance, which can look nearly black depending on lighting, with the classic PRR keystone herald, yellow road number, yellow handrails and detailed six-axle trucks.

Because the factory seals remain intact, this locomotive has not been track tested. We are preserving the sealed condition rather than opening the package simply to test it.
The outer box does show some normal storage and shelf wear, including wear around the end label, but the important part is that the factory seals remain unbroken. Please review all photographs closely for exact cosmetic condition.
