Vintage Avian Framed Art Prints Fancy Pigeons From Emil Schachtzabel Prachtwerk (1906)Germany Vintage Black Frames
Emil Schachtzabel was an avian enthusiast from Germany who wrote Unnatual Selection in 1906. There were lithographs produced based on water color templates by Anton Schoner. These specific prints are framed and consist of the frame and glass, plus the print, which may have come from one of the original books. The backs of the prints have descriptions, in German, of the birds, the plat number, the origin, and the name of the birds. The frames are quite distressed and one has a sticker that shows it was made in China. The prints themselves appear faded, but are in overall very good condition. They have not been removed from the frames.
