If you've been looking for a genuine and authentic 3rd State (peeled)1966 Mono Butcher Cover to professionally frame, this might be for you.
Many collectors consider this album the "holy grail" of their record collection. While these jackets may seem costly to the entry level collector, theseparticular jackets are hard to source in this price range that don't look horrible.They have tended to hold their value over the years. A First State cover sold several months ago on for over 12k ! While that is certainly out of reach for most collectors, this offering is certainly moreattainable.
This jacket has a few condition issues (see detailed description below) but is a great entry level piece that presents well in this price range.Please read the jacket description below forspecificdetails on condition.

Condition:
Front of Jacket:Front Peeled Butcher Slick on this jacket presents nicely with no major issues as the trunk slick basically protected the Butcher Slick underneath. Any touch up would be very minor. No big rip/tears etc. Make no mistake about it, this is a nice peel. See attached video of peel in progress.
Seams:
Top seam is mostlyunspilt but shows approximately 4" of a seam crack on the left hand side that appears to have been glued by a previous owner. Bottom Seam is complete andunspilt with exception of a small corner chip.To protect theintegrity of whatremains of these seams and avoid future damage, a record should never be attempted to be forced or stored inside this jacket (See close up photos of seams).
Spine:
Spine also shows some minor missing paper/chipping/splitting throughout and appears to have been properly secured but most writing is present and legible. (See Spine Top and Bottom photos).
Back Of Jacket:
The back of the jacket displays average to moderate wear/staining with the most notable stain appearing on the top left handcorner (see photo of back).
Trunk Slick:
Sorry but no trunk slick included on this one.
Record:
Comes with East Coast mono pressing in Fair to Poor visual condition (many scratches/scuffs). Has not been play graded and cannot be guaranteed not to skip, etc. Capitol Green inner sleeve is included with several inches of typical split on bottom seam.
