Large vintage Beatles collection assembled primarily during the 1960s by an original fan and preserved together for decades. The collection includes trading cards, complete and partial magazines, fan publications, photographs and pinups, scrapbooks, records and picture sleeves, jewelry, a vintage tray and wallet, VHS material, tour-related material, and thousands of pages of Beatles photographs, articles, clippings and other period ephemera. Condition varies throughout the collection and specific known flaws are noted below.
VINTAGE BEATLES TRADING CARD COLLECTIONExtensive collection of original 1960s Beatles trading cards, primarily from the 1964 to 1965 period, including both black-and-white and color cards from multiple series. A substantial number are housed in vintage albums using corner-style photo mounts rather than being taped directly to the pages. Cards appear generally solid with varying normal age and handling wear. Some album mounting corners and adhesive have deteriorated with age. Please see photographs for the cards, series represented and overall condition.COMPLETE MAGAZINES, BOOKS AND FAN PUBLICATIONSLarge group of vintage Beatles magazines, books and fan publications, primarily from the 1960s. Titles represented include Beatles Book Two, Beatle Crazy, Best of the Beatles, Beatles Make a Movie, Ringo\'s Photo Album, Beatles 16 Whole True Story, Teen publications, Roto and numerous other Beatles and teen magazines. Many retain photographs, pinups, foldouts and other interior features. Overall condition ranges from very good to heavily handled. Known flaws among individual publications include cover and spine wear, creasing, small tears, writing, occasional tape repairs, loose or partially separated pages and removed inserts or pinups. Some examples are exceptionally clean for their age while others show substantial period use. Photographs should be considered part of the condition description.VINTAGE BEATLES SCRAPBOOK AND FAN ARCHIVELarge period fan-created archive containing numerous vintage Beatles photographs, clippings, articles and other material mounted or preserved in albums. Pages contain individual Beatles portraits, group photographs, performance images, newspaper and magazine material and other period fan content. Some pieces remain loose within the albums. As expected from a period scrapbook, some material was originally cut from publications or mounted using period methods and may show adhesive, tape, edge wear or other signs of mounting and age.VINTAGE BEATLES RECORDS AND PICTURE SLEEVESGroup of Beatles 45 RPM material and picture sleeves, including Capitol releases such as \"I Feel Fine / She\'s a Woman,\" \"Help! / I\'m Down,\" \"Eight Days a Week / I Don\'t Want to Spoil the Party,\" \"Baby You\'re a Rich Man / All You Need Is Love,\" and additional material shown in the photographs. Condition varies with occasional folds, edge wear, small tears, old tape or evidence of removal from the original publication.VINTAGE BEATLES POSTERS AND FULL-PAGE PINUPSGroup of three larger full-page color Beatles pinup/poster pieces, including two matching images of the Beatles in costume and another Beatles image. Colors remain strong and the pieces are highly displayable. One has old tape present. Minor handling and age wear may be present.BEATLES TOUR ACROSS THE U.S.A. DISPLAY PIECETwo-page vintage \"The Great American Beatles Tour Across the U.S.A.\" map showing tour locations, dates and venues across the United States and Canada. The two pages were originally the facing pages of a publication and have been removed separately. Center and outer edges show evidence of removal and age, but the printed map and tour information remain highly displayable.VINTAGE BEATLES MAGAZINE COVERSSix detached vintage magazine covers featuring the Beatles. Four are approximately standard magazine size and include Teen Talk, Screenland, Beatles and Teen Pin-Ups covers. Two are larger format covers from The Saturday Evening Post and LIFE. The four smaller covers are generally well preserved. The larger covers show more handling, folds and wear, and one retains an address label. These are detached covers only, not complete magazines.BLACK AND WHITE BEATLES FULL-PAGE PHOTOS AND PINUPSApproximately 41 black-and-white full-page Beatles photographs and pinup-style pages from vintage publications. Includes individual portraits and full-group photographs, with some heavier-stock pieces mixed in. These were selected because the image itself occupies most or all of the page rather than being primarily an article. Most were removed from period magazines and therefore may have rough binding edges. Some pieces have minor tape, edge wear, folds or other age-related handling, but the photographs themselves generally remain presentable.BEATLES TEEN NEWS AND REGIONAL FAN MATERIALVintage Beatles-related Teen News material associated with the Buffalo, New York area where the collection originated, along with other regional and fan-oriented paper material. Thin newspaper and newsletter-style construction with normal age, edge and handling wear.VINTAGE BEATLES JEWELRYIncludes a vintage Beatles charm bracelet featuring portrait charms of the four Beatles along with vintage Beatles portrait rings. The bracelet retains good visual detail and the backs of the charms show relatively limited finish loss for their age. Rings show considerably more wear, including deterioration and discoloration to portions of the settings. Jewelry is sold as vintage collectible memorabilia and has not been tested for precious-metal content.VINTAGE BEATLES TRAYVintage Beatles serving/display tray featuring individual color portraits of John, Paul, George and Ringo. Made in Great Britain. VHS has not been recently playback tested and is being sold as collectible Beatles media.MIXED BEATLES PAPER, PHOTOS AND EPHEMERA ARCHIVEMore than 1,000 additional pieces/pages of predominantly black-and-white Beatles material, including photographs, magazine and newspaper clippings, fan material, articles and miscellaneous period paper ephemera. This section was intentionally left as a bulk archive rather than individually cataloged. Condition and sizes vary considerably, with cut edges, age toning, folds, occasional tape and other normal evidence of period collecting and scrapbook use.LARGE PARTIAL MAGAZINE, ARTICLE AND PAPER ARCHIVEApproximately 3,000 additional pages and pieces from vintage magazines, newspapers and other publications, with an estimated 2,000 or more containing Beatles-related content. Includes substantial portions of magazines, some nearly complete publications missing covers or selected pages, full articles, photographs, heavier-stock material and smaller clippings. Approximately 60 percent appears to consist of substantially intact pages or articles. This is a mixed archive and not every page contains Beatles content. Some photographs or sections were removed by the original collector, while many others remain intact. Expect varying age toning, cut or removed edges, folds, handling wear, occasional tape and incomplete publications.
