This is a beautiful tooth from a modern Great White Shark. I obtained this tooth from well known shark researcher Andrew Fox, son of Rodney Fox, during a visit to Australia on a Great White Shark cage dive. The tooth came from his personal collection and was from a 14-foot Great White taken in Port Lincoln, SA. I got this tooth about 25 years ago.
The long measurement, from the base of the root to the tip of the tooth is just over 2.1 inches. The tooth itself measures 1.75 inches from the top of the root to the tip. It enamel is a very consistent ivory-tinged white. The root is a slightly more yellow/white, typical for teeth of this age. The serrations are in great condition from the top of the root to the tip of the tooth. The root measures approximately 1.375 inches across at the base.
