Exceptional vintage CASIO G-SHOCK DW-1983 10th Anniversary Limited Edition from 1993, created to commemorate the first decade of G-SHOCK, 1983–1993.
This special anniversary model was reportedly limited to only 1,983 examples, a production number chosen to commemorate 1983, the birth year of G-SHOCK.
More than three decades later, finding one surviving in this level of preservation — together with its wooden 10th Anniversary presentation case, original documentation and commemorative accessories — is exceptionally difficult.
This example appears unworn / extremely well preserved, with the watch presenting remarkably for its age. Please judge the unworn condition from the detailed photographs.
The caseback carries the special “10th Anniversary 1983–1993” engraving and is marked CASIO 691 / DW-1983 / JAPAN H / Stainless Steel / Water Resistant 20 BAR.

FUNCTION
The watch is currently working. The digital display and illumination/backlight have been tested and are functioning at the time of listing.
CONDITION
The watch itself is in exceptionally well-preserved condition for a 1993 example and appears never worn. The original presentation materials have survived for approximately 33 years and show normal age/storage traces, particularly to some of the internal packaging material and documentation.
Please study the high-resolution photographs carefully, as they show the exact condition of the watch and everything included.
The gold-colored components are conservatively described as gold-tone; no claim is made that they are solid gold.
Due to the age of the watch, the original 20 BAR marking represents the factory specification and is not a guarantee of current water resistance. The watch has not been pressure-tested by me.
A VERY DIFFICULT SET TO FIND TODAY
The DW-1983 represents an important milestone from the early history of G-SHOCK. Finding the watch alone is one thing; finding an example approximately 33 years later with the anniversary wooden case, documentation, commemorative hardware and accessories still together — while the watch itself remains in this condition — is considerably more unusual.
An outstanding opportunity for a serious vintage CASIO / G-SHOCK collector.
The complete set will be packed extremely carefully for shipment to preserve both the watch and its vintage presentation materials.
