I\'m selling this on behalf of the estate of my late secretary. We had been friends for over 50 years prior to her passing. Her daughter found a couple nice old cameras like this. I have little knowledge of cameras, so anything described here is a result of online research. I cannot guarantee the function of this beautiful old piece, but it would make a great statement in a camera collection.
This is a paraphrase of a description given by Google:
Based on the markings on the lens and body, the camera is a vintage folding camera, likely a Certo Super Sport Dolly. These types were popular in the 1930\'s. The camera\'s lens is a Tessar
The shutter is a Compur Shutter
The text F. Deckel Munchen indicates that the shutter was made by Friedrich Deckel in Munich.
The photos that I\'ve posted above should give you an indication of the quality and collector quality of the camera. I could not find the word \"Certo\" anywhere. Maybe I don\'t know where to look. It fits nicely into its leather case. All snaps are intact. I could not loosen the knob on the bottom, and I was not eager to force it.
Please ask for any details that are not clearly answered by text or photos.
Thank you for looking and for considering adding this to your collection.
