Chinese Gilt Copper Nesting Bowls Set 3 Floral Qianlong Style Marks Vintage For Sale

Beautiful graduated set of three Chinese decorative metal nesting bowls featuring an incredibly dense gold floral and scrolling design over a deep brown-black patinated ground. The decoration continues across both the interiors and exteriors, giving these bowls a wonderfully rich appearance whether displayed individually or nested together.

Each bowl has a recessed circular foot and a gold character mark on the underside in the style of a traditional Chinese reign/seal mark. These are best described as Qianlong-style marks and are decorative/apocryphal rather than evidence that the bowls date to the 18th-century Qianlong period.

The bowls appear to be copper or a copper-alloy metal with gilt decoration. They nest neatly together and make an especially striking display set.

Condition:

Good vintage decorative condition with age and use wear throughout. There is visible rubbing and loss to portions of the gold decoration, surface scratches, patina, and wear along the rims and bases.
