Cira. 1908 - 1910 Vintage J.C. Higgins Basketball Extremely Rare:
$1200.00
Up for sale vintage Stuffed early J.C. Higgins BasketballEarly 20th-century cowhide-lined basketball with laces
This is one of the first basketballs produced when J.C. Higgins placed his name on basketballs starting at 1908. There is no hole (like a modern day basketball) to inflate the ball. This was done by removing the laces, pumping up the ball and reinflating. The ball is stuffed and has no bladder in it anymore, as this is more for display purposes then to use. I am not sure the age of the laces but they probably had to be cut and replaced, for the majority of the time air was put in the ball.E-mail with questionsFREE SHIPPING
