Programming Note:
On aftermarket Ford remote head keys, the chip and the remote buttons program separately. Use the DIY tool for the chip, then use Ford onboard programming for the buttons:
- Turn a key in the ignition 6, 8, or 10 times until the locks cycle (or you hear a chime).
- Within 20 seconds press a button on each remote. Locks cycle to confirm.
- Turn the ignition off. Locks cycle one last time.
If the vehicle will not enter programming mode, buckle both front seatbelts and close the door, then try again.
