- About the Artist:Deano Serkes is a Los Angeles-based artist known for his unique shadow box creations under the banner \"Art Affects by Deano.\" Originally from California, Serkes owns and operates his small business, which he has built around a passion for capturing life’s moments through art. After receiving formal art training at the College of Marin and studying photography for many years, he settled in Big Bear Lake, California, where he continues to create. His work focuses on using photography combined with mementos to craft shadow boxes that evoke nostalgia and rekindle pleasant memories of life experiences. Serkes’ artistic mission is deeply personal—he believes that \"art affects humanity,\" a philosophy reflected in his choice of medium and subject matter. His shadow boxes often feature signed originals, such as \"LOVE,\" a 10\" x 10\" x 2\" piece showcasing his knack for blending two-dimensional and three-dimensional elements. While not as widely known as some Los Angeles artists like Deana Lawson or Kenny Scharf, Serkes operates on a more intimate scale, appealing to collectors of niche, memory-driven art.
