This is a Gallery Mint (private mint) error struck in 1996 at the 105th Annual ANA Convention held in Colorado Springs, Colorado with authorized Medal dies.
A unique piece for sure.

Bow-Tie Shaped.
It was struck on a large triple punched piece of pewter webbing that is double folded over and triple layered. It measures 1\" x 1 1/4\" in diameter and weighs a whopping 6.46 grams. The height is approximately 1/4 inch .
Letters PIKES PE of PIKES PEAK PEWTER and a portion of the mountain itself are struck on one face. The date, 1996, is clearly struck on opposite face.
