This is Doug E. Fresh & The Get Fresh Crew – The World’s Greatest Entertainer, the 1988 Reality Records LP that captures Doug at full command of live crowd energy, beatbox mastery, and early hip-hop showmanship.
This is not just a singles LP. Tracks like “Keep Risin’ to the Top,” “I’m Gettin’ Ready,” “D.E.F. = Doug E. Fresh,” and “Guess Who?” document that late-80s moment when hip hop performance was still rooted in stage presence and call-and-response rather than studio polish.
Copy is especially strong:
