Dutch CyberWorks Black Deck AI Companion — 2.8-Inch
The Black Deck AI Companion is a compact conversational AI device built around the ESP32-S3 platform and a 2.8-inch full-color display.
Each Black Deck is assembled, configured, tested, and shipped from St. Louis, Missouri, USA by Dutch CyberWorks and installed in our custom 3D-printed Black Deck enclosure.
This is more than a bare ESP32 development board. The display board, speaker, enclosure, and AI firmware are already assembled into a finished voice-AI device.
Talk naturally to the Black Deck using its built-in microphone and speaker while the color display provides visual response during dual-core processor up to 240 MHz

The Black Deck uses the non-touch 2.8-inch display version. A touchscreen is not required for normal AI operation.
Bluetooth / BLE and the TF / microSD card slot are present in the hardware but are not currently utilized by the Black Deck AI Companion firmware.
Easy Initial Setup
A printed Quick Start Guide is included.
Initial setup consists of powering the Black Deck through USB-C, connecting to the temporary Xiaozhi setup network, and using a phone, tablet, or computer browser to connect the device to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
You then link the device to the Xiaozhi service, select an English AI role, and set your preferred wake word.
Some initial configuration screens or default roles may appear in Chinese. The included Quick Start Guide walks you through changing the language and selecting an English role.

Tested Before Shipment
Every Black Deck is individually powered on and function-tested by Dutch CyberWorks before shipment.
Testing includes the display, microphone, speaker, Wi-Fi connection, and basic AI operation.
You receive an assembled and tested Black Deck rather than an untested bare development board.
Custom Product Note
The Black Deck is a Dutch CyberWorks assembled product built using ESP32-S3 development hardware and a custom 3D-printed enclosure.
The enclosure is produced, and each complete Black Deck is assembled, tested, and shipped from St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
The enclosure is produced using quality-focused print settings for a clean, durable finish. Because it is 3D printed, minor layer lines or small cosmetic variations may be visible and are considered normal.
