From my personal collection, this listing is for a wonderful and early antique 18\" Kestner 143 character boy doll. He was most likely manufactured in 1897, before Kestner designated the mold number 143 for this character face. This sweet boy is marked \"G\" on one side of his head and\"11\" on the other side. Also incised \"Made in Germany\" along with a check mark on the rim of his head. His blue spiral glass eyes are fixed stationary and he is strung well. He retains the red outlines to his hands and toes I do not know if the clothing is original, but it is at least as old as he is. The clothing and shoes have age related wear as shown. The original compo body also has wear, but the wear has been stabilized and he is not flaking. Both the brown wig and plaster pate ae original. I believe the antique straw hat is a later addition. There are no hairlines, cracks, chips or repairs to his bisque as shown in the lighted photos. Please note that I needed to remove some buttons on the jacket in order to remove it so that I could photograph his body. The jacket was sewn closed. I reattached the buttons and you will need to tack the jacket closed again or pin it. I have shown this in the last photo.
I have taken plenty of photos and please review them all as they are a large part of the description. Any questions please message me. Thank you!
