Description
This time, we have received the "Elite 60s Les Paul Custom," a guitar that caused a stir when it was released by Japanese manufacturer Epiphone, based on the legendary Gibson "Les Paul Custom," a guitar coveted by many guitarists. Manufactured in 2005, it weighs approximately 4.29kg.
It features a traditional maple top and mahogany back body, with a mahogany neck set-necked using a deep-joint method. The fingerboard is rosewood, not ebony, and features block inlays.
The headstock is the same shape as the original Gibson, and features a welcome diamond inlay. The tuners are Grover.
The truss rod cover is a Gibson part. The pickguard is missing.
It is equipped with two "USA Classic Humbuckers" with gold covers (it's difficult to say for sure as there's no marking on the back). It produces a well-balanced sound, from beautiful, clear clean tones to the custom-style drive.
The neck grip is not as slim as the 60s models, but rather feels quite thick. The electronics appear to be entirely original, featuring a classic 3-way selector and 2 volume/2 tone control setup.
The frets have been leveled here, resulting in excellent playability. This Les Paul Custom is truly highly recommended! [Accessories] Hard case only (not original) [Appearance/Condition] In addition to tarnishing of the parts, there are scratches, small dents and abrasions on the top, back, and sides, showing overall signs of use.
The pickguard is missing. [Truss Rod] Plenty of adjustment range [Neck] Straight [Nut Width] Approx. 42mm *Regarding the truss rod, for product protection reasons, we only check up to approximately 45 degrees in both the tightening and loosening directions. ("Plenty of adjustment range" indicates 45 degrees of adjustment range in both directions.)
