There are 2 felt pads in an Etch-O-Matic Unit. 1 under the grid plate and 1 over the grid plate. With repeated use the felt pads will become less able to absorb and distribute the electrolyte. This will result in poor marks and increased mark time. Normal maintenance would be to replace these felts after multiple use and dry cycles. The refill pack has 10 of the top felts and 9 of the felts that are placed under the grid. We always combine shipping.
