An extraordinary opportunity to acquire a collection of three ancient Chinese pottery heads, each displayed on a custom clear acrylic stand.The pieces are attributed to the Qin, Western Han and early Han periods, dating approximately from 221 BC to 220 AD, and originating from the Xi’an region of China. They retain visible traces of their original pigments and possess the remarkable character and patina expected of ancient Chinese tomb pottery.I personally purchased the three pieces in the early 2000s from Arch Angel Antiques on Hollywood Road in Hong Kong, a district internationally known for Asian art and antiquities. The original combined purchase price was HK$24,000—approximately US$3,076.92 at the time.Each piece is accompanied by its original Arch Angel Antiques documentation describing its period, origin and characteristics.
