DescriptionA fabulous ultra rareEnglishantiquesolid 9ct goldAsprey & Co\"patented\" mechanical bookmark still housed in its original fitted case, in superb clean condition,and with English gold hallmarks for London 1934.Stunning example, honestly looks to be unused, usually found in sterling silver, extremely rare to find one in solid gold, only a few were manufactured. Still with a good strong spring action, just as it was made, it is in perfect working order and it weighs a heavy 8 gramsof 9ct gold.It measures approx 2.75 inches (69mm) in length x 0.75 inches (19mm) wide. The original box is in excellent condition and still has the original insructions on the base. Ready to be used and there are no added personal engraved mongrams or initials.
Date English antiquesolid 9ct gold,with full English gold hallmarks for London 1934, (date letter \"t\"), includes the \"9\" and \"375\" gold stamps and it is marked in 3 separate places. It is clearly stamped with the goldsmiths initials \"A & Co Ltd\" and \"Asprey, London\" and is also stamped \"Made In England\" and has the Asprey patent number \"257529\" (patented in 1928).
ConditionSuperb clean condition with nofaults at all,a very rare solid gold modelin mint original condition, looks to have hardly ever been out of its box. Nice heavy gold weight as is ready to be used. A good usable investment piece, exceptionally hard to find. The prize item for antique bookmark collectors.
