Every ten years, the mysterious Rogetsu Kagura festival is held on Rogetsu Isle in southern Japan. During one festival, five young girls suddenly disappeared without explanation. Though they were eventually rescued by a detective, all memories of what happened during their disappearance were completely lost.
One of the girls, Ruka Mizunaki, retained only fragments of a haunting memory:
