Francis Paraison (c. 1958 – 2003) was a highly regarded Haitian folk painter who studied under the master painter Henry Brésil. He is celebrated for his lush, vibrant jungle landscapes, market scenes, and distinct depictions of wildlife, such as tigers and lions hidden in dense tropical foliage. His prominence is highlighted by his piece \"Three Tigers in the Moonlight,\" which is preserved in the permanent Haitian art collection at the Huntington Museum of Art.
