Vintage G.I. Joe GUNG HO on the Chinese \"The International Heroes\" card, copyright 1995 Hasbro International Inc. and made in China, assortment number 6740/6213 ASST. 139.
These Chinese-market cards are a distinct branch of the G.I. Joe story. Hasbro produced the classic A Real American Hero figures for release in China under its Chinese brand name, with bilingual packaging: the code name appears in Chinese alongside GUNG HO, the specialty is given as U.S. Marine in both languages, and the back carries a full Chinese-language file card together with the Chinese version of the G.I. Joe creed. The card back line-up is worth a look in its own right, showing the Chinese names given to the whole range.
The figure inside is the classic Gung Ho in his tiger-stripe vest and tan fatigues, with headband and Marine Corps tattoo, and his full kit is still sealed on the tray: spring-action rocket launcher, blue missile, machine gun, black backpack, American flag and black battle stand. The card front carries the \"ROCKET LAUNCHER SHOOTS!\" starburst in both Chinese and English, and the bubble still wears its original Hasbro foil sticker.
Condition: the bubble is clear and firmly attached with no lifting or splits observed. The card shows light age toning and mild edge and corner softness consistent with its age, and an old retail price sticker remains on the bubble front, shown clearly in the photos.

Chinese-market carded G.I. Joe figures do not turn up often outside Asia, and Gung Ho is not one of the handful of Chinese figures that reached the Western dealer market in quantity.
