Vintage GNAT Computers model 8005 hardware multiply/divide module dating from the very early microcomputer era, circa 1975.This is an unusually scarce surviving board from GNAT Computers of San Diego, an early manufacturer of Intel 8080-based computer equipment.Contemporary 1975 documentation identifies the GNAT 8005 as a high-speed hardware multiply/divide module designed to perform arithmetic operations substantially faster than software routines on an 8080 system.Board is clearly marked:
