·WHAT IS VENETIANPLASTER: Also known as “stuccoVeneziano”, Venetian plaster is a wall and ceiling finish made frommagnesium-grade dolomite limestone. It is heated to produce calcium oxide, thenaged in water. Finally, the lime is blended with marble and other mineral aggregates.Applied in multiple layers, which are then burnished to create a smooth surface with the illusion of depthand texture. When applied correctly, this type of plaster will create a highlypolished and marble-like finish.

·THE ITALIAN DIFFERENCE: Many of the so-called Venetian plasters usedtoday are synthetic plasters made by paint manufacturers OR thick paint.
