COLLECTOR'S SPECIMEN:Tropical Theatre Exclusive! Very rare crest! We obtained this cutting "in situ" in Salta region, Argentina. Thousands were growing in the field, only ONE crest form was found! It is a stable mutation as well (we propagated it for 8 years). These will form large speres the size of an orange: Gold thorns and copperish body when grown in strong sun: this is likely a sub-species as the nodes are closer together than standard pomanensis yet have been identified as such by local authority. Either way it is Exquisite!*** VERY LIMITED SUPPLY *** Cultivate it exactly like any cacti with benign neglect, gritty well draining sandy loam in full sun for best coloration. Only grow outdoors in USDA zone 9Band up. Remarkably tolerant of neglect despite its appearance! Top quality plant.
