ABOUT THE ARTIST: BarbaraPRÉZEAU STEPHENSON was born in Port‑au‑Princein 1965. She is a multidisciplinaryartist working in painting, sculpture, and contemporary installation. Raised inan artistic family, she was introduced early to the Saint Soleil movement andlater studied at ENARTS, the University of Ottawa, and the Sorbonne, completingadvanced studies in art history and Francophone cultural studies. Her workdraws on Christian iconography, Vodou symbolism, African memory, and Caribbeanmythologies.
